President 

A key learning from my varied career is the importance of business analysis in any successful organisation. I am currently a strategic business analysis consultant, but started my career as an engineer, then became a senior manager in Telstra before moving overseas to take up a global Chief Information Officer role. I have received international and domestic recognition including a Computerworld Laureate.

I have always been a strong supporter of industry associations such as IIBA. I have held roles as Brisbane and Australian Chair of The Institute of Engineering and Technology and I am a past Chair of IIBA Brisbane Branch.

My agendas within IIBA relate to ensuring that business analysts are properly supported to fulfil their potential in driving forward business success. In my work I see how strong business analysis capabilities are often the differential that drives project or service success. Within IIBA we have the opportunity to help our members develop their skills, networks and influence.

  GEORGIANA MANNION
Vice - President 

Georgiana is an established management consultant who has spent 20 years working across various industries. She is currently specialising in Business Transformation for Private and Government contracts. She is a keynote speaker on subjects relating to business progress and teaches analysts and programme managers techniques in business management. She works internationally and has been a member of the IIBA Community for 8 years in 2 countries. She elevates, educates, and empowers BAs.

SHEFALI BALI
Treasurer

Shefali brings over 10 years of Business Analysis experience specialising in process improvement and implementation of financial systems.  She has a passion for sharing the knowledge of the Business Analyst role and promoting the importance of that role in every aspect of delivery. Shefali is a natural collaborator and engages people at all levels in organisations. She leads teams to success through focusing on the organisation strategy and understanding the real problems to be solved. 
 
She has qualification in Finance, Process Improvement and Project Management, and has experience in Data analysis. Throughout her career, Shefali has good experience in volunteering with lot of Non Profit and charity organisations to manage their treasury and events portfolios.

CARL SUDHOLZ
Corporate Secretary & Technology

Carl Sudholz is a leading Informaiton Systems Consultant with expertise in the development and implementation of data-driven technology in government and the agriculture industries. Carl holds a Bachelor of Science, Masters of Sustainable Practice and Certifications in Project Management and Business Analysis.

Certification & Education

Cora has a passion for business analysis and excellence. After graduating with a master’s degree in Computer Science Cora has held many project delivery roles across government, wealth management, mining and manufacturing. She enjoys helping businesses do business better through building and developing business analysis capability to the BABOK® gold standard. In March 2017 she established a business analysis practice consultancy service and currently consults within a government agency setting up a BA Centre of excellence. Prior to that she built up a team of business and process analysts through mentoring and coaching within BT Financial Group.

Cora is CBAP certified and after volunteering at a branch level has since 2012 held the Certification and Education director role with IIBA Australia. She has rolled out a standardised BABOK® Study group nationally, changed over study group to V3 BABOK® and presented at both national conferences and local business analysis events. She is a devoted BABOK® advocate and is looking forward to extending the education and certification branch services nationally.

Events Director

Garrie specialises in identifying and implementing technical solutions to business problems, coordinating the discovery of end user and business owner information and steering the design of a solution through business, project and technical processes. He has sound understanding of both processes and technology, combined with a focus on the end user experience and delivering solutions which provide value to the business. His work has primarily been in the public sector within both NSW state govenment and more recently the Federal Government. As a passionate practitioner within his discipline, Garrie has been giving back to his profession through volunteering as Events Manager for the IIBA Canberra Branch, including delivering sessions, managing registrations systems, marketing events, and coordinating resources as required by specific presenters. In 2018 this expanded to encompass the entire Australia Chapter.

Director of Marketing

Briana is an accomplished professional with hybrid skill set spanning business analysis, change management, project and delivery management. She has experience in hands on delivery as well as leadership, coaching and mentoring. Briana is very passionate about the future of business analysis and the opportunities for professional upskilling with agile knowledge and experience. Briana is CBAP as well as certified in the newest IIBA certification – Agile Analysis Certification – IIBA® as part of the pilot group applicants worldwide. Briana previously led the Education and Certification portfolio at the Sydney Branch of the Australian Chapter.
