I am Certified Business Analysis Professional with an expert understanding of the Business Analysis profession. My experience as a Business Analysis leader in a number of organisations provides me with an informed perspective on our typical Australian Chapter member and their work environment.

I am a strong champion for Business Analysis. Through my public presentations and consulting work in Australia and overseas, I have promoted Business Analysis for over 5 years. I was responsible for one of the first and largest IIBA corporate members in Australia and have directly facilitated professional certification for dozens of Australian Business Analysts.

My long association with all levels of the IIBA includes and personal contact with the International Board and Staff at the US IIBA conference each year. I have been part of the organising group behind the Victorian BA Managers forum and currently lead the Victorian branch of the IIBA. I bring over 15 years of confident business leadership experience to a board position. Much of that experience has been gained as a collaborative member of a leadership team.

My style is bold and creative. I hope to explore innovative ways of expanding our value to Australian members beyond traditional methods, drive growth in emerging regions, increase engagement with corporations and build closer connections with our parent organization. I am prepared to put in the time commitment necessary to be successful in my role and a support to my peers.

As secretary, my main role is to maintain the legal & official documents of the association. This includes the organisation’s bylaws, constitution and the Board’s policy statements. The secretary also organises the board meetings, preparing the agenda, taking minutes & conducting any correspondence. While this may seem a mundane role, it is important to ensure that the association is professionally administered for the benefit of all members.
 
I have many years’ experience as a business analyst in a variety of industries. Since retirement, I continue my interest in my profession by tutoring at university to pass on my skills & knowledge to younger generations. This also keeps me up to date with the latest theories & research trends.

This year I responded to the call for help as the Member Service portfolio (IIBA Australia Member Services Director) and joined the Board in March 2015. I feel that I have successfully taken on the role by looking at the strategic direction and the immediate needs of the portfolio and I look forward to continue implementing the initiatives.
 
It’s now 2 1/2years since I began my IIBA volunteering journey (March 2013), with the chapter's Sydney branch assisting in running local events. I continue to be an active member of the Sydney branch, including attending our events (I can be seen at the check in desk, at most events) and take the invaluable knowledge gained at the Branch level to my role on the Board.
 
I am a Business Analyst currently working on an enterprise initiative. I have a background in Finance, however after 10years of working on requirements, process and working with stakeholders across various levels in the organisation, I call myself Business Analysts. I work on various size projects from small pieces of work right through to multi-million dollar enterprise initiatives. My most recent project, I successfully led a team to transfer existing processes to a new soft platform across multiple teams within the organisation.
 
I look forward to continuing to implement the initiatives that I started since joining the Board and working with fellow Board Members to grow and progress the IIBA Australia Chapter.

Cora is an energetic, passionate experienced project delivery professional with strong capability for leading excellence in project delivery practices with a special interest in business analysis and analytics.
Building up a business analyst centre of excellence within a major corporate organisation she has a strong competency in assessing and implementing a “best fit” model. She builds competencies of business analysts to be able to respond to both pipeline projects and also to be a strong support for organisational strategy. Her proven business and leadership capability has successfully shaped and built up a team with business and process analysis capability in a self-sustaining manner.

Cora holds Certified BA Professional (CBAP®) since April 2012 and has encouraged others to seek certification to the global standard. She has been elected and plays a key director role with the IIBA Australia as Director for Certification and Education.

In this role since 2012 she has rolled out a standardised BABOK® Study group nationally and presented at both national conferences and local business analysis events.

I have enjoyed a long association with the IIBA since joining as an individual member in 2009. From 2010 I played an active role in the IIBA Melbourne Branch during its formative years when there were only four of us successfully obtaining sponsorship, putting on local events and supporting the BA community. I have watched this branch grow into the successful committee that it is today, leading the way with its structure and processes.

I currently work as Senior Business Systems Analyst for a global corporation with BAs located in a number of the countries IIBA is active in. I was successful in introducing Corporate Membership in 2010 and working with our internal BA Leadership team to adopt the IIBA Competency Model and certifications as a standard. I currently have a keen interest in the value being provided to Corporate Members.

I relish the opportunity to support the IIBA at the national level in continuing the great work that is being done by the passionate volunteers.

Anita has deep knowledge and broad experience in the analysis, modelling, and implementation of process modelling software and ERP systems. First in South Africa and now in Australia, Anita has worked extensively in the banking, finance, mining, and petrochemical industries in a wide range of roles in support, operations, and enterprise architecture.

This work has given Anita significant practical experience in the application of process management techniques from strategy to implementation across the entire ARIS Process Platform and SAP Solution Manager. Her work has included many aspects of business analysis, integration, model development, repository management, and release cycle management.
