Facilitator - Michael Renner
Hello, nice to meet you on your analyst journey be that business, data, or intelligence analyst or any other permutation. I have been working in the business data world for the past 15 years at the Australian Taxation Office bouncing between database and system technology and business data analytics needs evaluation in a public service setting. Prior to this, I worked in several large and small commercial entities , such as Telstra and Electronic Data Systems (EDS), in the same broad industry groups. This has been my career journey after completing my university bachelor degree as an Electronic Engineer and via a Masters in Information Technology along the way from the University of South Australia.
I have a passion for bridging the gap between end users and technology specialists acting as a translator and facilitator in the hopes of achieving high value, win-win results. I have found that people sometimes need help understanding jargon and trends in digital technology as well as critically assessing and defining what exactly they are hoping to achieve. The goal is the joint understanding and respect of all of our specialities, and I hope to improve this continually in little steps. The journey is important; the aspirational goals should never been diminished or forgotten.
I enjoy listening and learning from others from all backgrounds and hope to impart my knowledge over the past 30 years in a meaningful way to help shape careers. The world is an increasingly complex and fast-paced place, but the underlying fundamentals of what we want to do individually and together and how we want to get better every day remain the same.
