Discover how process modelling can enhance your effectiveness as a Business Analyst and uncover hidden value in your organisation.

Overview:
Have you ever paused to consider how your organisation actually works? While most people focus on their specific roles, Business Analysts often need to see the bigger picture—understanding how tasks, decisions and responsibilities fit together across teams and systems. This broader perspective is crucial for identifying root causes, uncovering hidden requirements, and enabling meaningful change.

Process modelling is a powerful tool in the BA toolkit. It helps us explore the "how" and "why" behind business activities, making it easier to surface requirements, clarify workflows, and spark productive conversations. A clear visual model can reveal unseen relationships, support decision-making, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Join IIBA Brisbane and guest speaker Ryan Dunn as we explore how process modelling supports key business analysis activities. We’ll also dive into Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and take part in a hands-on modelling exercise.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how process thinking and business process management add value
  • Explain how process modelling supports different business analysis functions
  • Identify and define core elements of BPMN
  • Create a process model
Tickets:
  • IIBA Member: $10 (Please log into the Member Area (top right) before proceeding through checkout)
  • Non-Member: $20
