Join IIBA Melbourne Branch for an online Business Data Analytics study group.
This group will meet weekly via Zoom on Mondays from 25 May – 29 June 2026 (6 Weeks).
 
Details of the Zoom meeting will be shared by the branch education team with you closer to the group start date. 
 

About the Study Group:

The Business Data Analytics (BDA) study group covers the Guide to Business Data Analytics® v.1. You will gain:

  • An understanding the Six BDA Domains
  • BDA focused techniques
  • BSA fit in core Business Analysis
IIBA Members can earn up to 18 hours of PDUs. This study group is designed to prepare you for the Certification in Business Data Analytics (CBDA).
 

Intended Audience:

This Study Group is designed for those looking to start or transition into Data Analytics as a career such as:

  • Business Analysts
  • Managers or Employers of Business Analysts
  • Project Managers
  • Product Owners
  • Scrum Masters,
  • Any others who work alongside Business Analysts
Participants will benefit if they already have strong core Business Analysis knowledge and skillsets. Prior participation in a BABOK® Study Group and/or core BA certification (ECBA®, CCA®, CCBA®, CBAP) will be very advantageous for the learning outcomes in the BDA study group.

Echo Lv | Statistical Analyst, Australia Bureau of Statistics 
I am a data analyst with experience in surveys, focusing on household economics and data quality assurance. I specialise in identifying inconsistencies, improving data quality, and producing meaningful insights. I am dedicated to continuous learning and strengthening my analytical capabilities.

Shivam Behl | Business Analyst, Munro Footwear Group
I am a Technical Business Analyst based in Melbourne with experience in retail technology and digital transformation. I specialise in business process analysis, system integrations, and data-driven solutions across platforms such as ERP, POS, and RFID systems. I enjoy solving complex business problems and improving operational efficiency. Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring. I volunteer with CMY and work as a career coach with an Adelaide-based startup, supporting students and professionals in navigating their career journeys. In my personal time, I practice meditation, Taoism, Reiki, and focus on fitness and personal development.
