About the Study Group:
The POA Study Group helps experienced Business Analysts build their knowledge of Product Ownership Analysis and prepare for the CPOA certification. It’s for professionals with at least 4 years' Business Analysis experience and 2 years in Agile Product Development.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the key concepts from the Guide to Product Ownership Analysis.
- Learn techniques to improve Product Ownership Analysis skills.
- Share experiences and practical challenges with peers.
- Get support for the IIBA-CPOA Certification process.
IIBA Members can earn up to 16 hours of PDUs.
Facilitators
Deepak Mishra | Product Owner, Coles (IIBA-CPOA Certified)
Born in India and based in Australia since 2017, Deepak holds a master’s degree in Economics and Data Science. He works as a Product Owner at Coles, leading a machine learning product. Deepak is passionate about continuous learning, embodies a growth mindset, and enjoys helping others grow as well. He is excited to facilitate this study group and to learn together with others.
Olayinka Fashola | VP Certification and Professional Development, IIBA New Zealand
Fashola is the Vice President of Professional Development and Certification at IIBA NZ. With over a decade of experience teaching and mentoring business analysts and product owners to achieve globally recognised credentials, his career spans business analysis, software development, and product management across fintech, manufacturing, telecoms, and consulting. He currently serves as the Product Manager for Digital Infrastructure at Spark NZ, where he drives digital innovation and transformative solutions. Fashola is passionate about fostering professional growth and guiding emerging talent towards success in dynamic industries.
Prasanthni Kalyanasundaram | Data Science Delivery Lead, Coles (IIBA-CPOA Certified)
Prasanthni has over 20 years of corporate experience, primarily in the fields of Business Analysis and Product Ownership. She holds several certifications from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), including the Professional Analysis (POA) certification. Her team won the BAX award at the Festival of Business Analysis 2024, which featured a TEDx-style talk show. For nearly a decade, she has been an active contributor to the IIBA community. Her passion for mentoring and guiding community members has led her to take on the role of Education and Certification Lead with the Melbourne Chapter.

A Senior Business Analyst of over two decades, Kelly possesses rich, real-world experiences to draw upon to assist next-generation business analysis in exploring, planning and contextualising their professional development goals.
