Join an IIBA® Australia BABOK® Study Group!
IIBA® Australia Chapter BABOK® Study Groups provide attendees with a structured and shared experience to learn and develop an understanding of the BABOK®   principles. Study Groups are distinct from training which can be provided by IIBA-endorsed education providers EEPs

  • BABOK® Study Groups are available at all branches, typically twice a year, starting at the beginning and mid-year if there is sufficient enrollment.
  • Study group participation can earn up to 30 hours of professional development which supports this for the certifications:
    • CBAP (35 hours) and CCBA/ECBA (21 hours)  

IIBA® Australia Chapter offers base or advanced study groups (for those with 4+ years’ experience) in line with the new certification standards
Study groups can be conducted “in-house” for employers who want to build BA competency for their employees.

Study Group Purpose
  • To provide a structured and shared experience to learn the content of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge version 3 (BABOK®)
  • To identify practices that may enhance your own Business Analysis performance.
  • To share experiences and challenges to achieve a greater understanding of how to achieve success as a Business Analyst.
  • To help prepare for IIBA certification

Agile Analysis Study Group
In 2019 IIBA Australia launched a specialised Agile Analysis Study Group aimed at supporting members who are looking to expand their knowledge and understanding of the Agile mindset and Agile analysis.

Call for Study Group Facilitators 
The IIBA® Australia Chapter are on the lookout for Business Analysis Professionals who have one or more IIBA certifications (CBAP, AAC, CBDA), industry experience and have the ability to commit to the time to facilitate our 2023 Study Groups.  
The Study Groups are focused on either BABOK®, Agile Extension or Business Data Analysis and are held both online and in-person in regions across Australia.  If you are experienced in these areas, we invite you to submit your EOI now by completing this form.
