The IIBA Australia and New Zealand Chapters are excited to announce the opening of the 2025 IIBA Australia and New Zealand Business Analysis Awards and we are seeking experienced, passionate professionals to join our panel of judges. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of recognising and celebrating the achievements of business analysts across Australia and New Zealand.
 
As a judge, you will play a pivotal role in selecting the outstanding individuals and organisations that have demonstrated excellence in business analysis. You’ll have the chance to evaluate submissions across various categories, including innovation, leadership, emerging talent, and impactful contributions to the profession.

What is involved? 

Judging takes place over two rounds. You will be expected to review written applications and attend live online interviews for each category you nominate to judge.

Round one: Assessment of written nominations
  • Task: Review nominations via an online portal between 12 August – 25 August 2025
  • Time: Approximately 8 - 12 hours, depending on the number of nominations
The top 3 nominations for each category will be invited to each attend a 30 minute online interview with 3 judges. After the final interview, the judging panel will decide on the winner of the award. 
 
Round two: Finalist interviews
  • Task: Participate in online finalist interviews via Zoom, scheduled between 10 – 19 September 2025. These will generally be held during AEST business hours. You’ll be asked to prepare your own questions and collaborate with the judging panel to determine the winner.
  • Time commitment: Approximately 4 hours per category you are judging.
